In reply to Jeremy Poynton. USBDLM will only move removeable drives around by default, not optical drives, but this can be be configured if desired.

Hmmm. Doesn’t work for me. Re-installed DVD drive grabbed drive letter D, which was assigned to my DATA usb drive. As this has “My Documents” on it, and as it got another drive letter, explorer wouldn’t work, and I had to go do Disk Drive management to reset the drive letters. Stayed fixed on a reboot, but I’m not convinced.

Click on the “Start” orb, type “Notepad”, right click on the “Notepad” item that appears in the results and choose “Run as administrator”

Confirm the UAC prompt (if applicable)

Now in Notepad, go to File –> Open, navigate to “C:Program FilesUSBDLM” (or “C:Program Files (x86)USBDLM” on a x64 system) and edit usbdlm.ini.

From here, you’ll be able to edit the INI file and save your changes.

It’s telling me that access to the file is denied when I try to save USBDLM in wordpad, even though I clicked to unblock the file and I am the administrator
